Healthy Eating Approach

Practicing a more mindful approach to eating can enhance the enjoyment of your meals, reduce overeating, aid good digestion, reduce anxious thoughts surrounding food, and improve your psychological relationship with food. Mindful eating helps you distinguish between emotional and physical hunger. It also increases your awareness of food-related triggers, and gives you the freedom to choose your response to them.

Tips on how to practice mindful eating:

  • Eat more slowly and don't rush your meals.
  • Eliminate distractions by turning off the TV and putting down your phone.
  • Focus on how the food makes you feel.
  • Eat in silence and Chew thoroughly.
  • Ask yourself why you're eating. Are you actually hungry? Is it healthy?
